Unfortunately, Munich has never been our final destination. But I’m glad we were lucky enough to have a glimpse of this beautiful city. How did we manage to do that? Easy! In order to save money, we are simply avoiding direct flights. And instead we are looking for transfer flights and searching for places where we could spend our waiting time (approximately five to seven hours*). That way we are able to see more cities and countries during our travels.
I’ve visited twenty countries or so and have tried dozens of different dishes. There were many that I liked and few that I loved… but so far only one country managed to blow me away with its cuisine. Beautiful, delicious, rich in flavors. And even a simple thought of Serbian food makes my mouth water.

If you are not interested in visiting Belgrade Fortress or if you want to see main attractions of Serbia’s capital in one day, then after a short version of Belgrade Fortress experience you could check out two most popular streets of the city – Kneza Mihaila and Skadarlija.
After quite pricy yet delicious dinner we dropped by our cabin to pick up some beer (Finn without a beer is not a Finn) and went to the beach. We were sitting there on the lonely bench in embrace, drinking elixir of Finnish gods and watching marvelous sunset.
The following information might not be much of a use to an experienced traveler. Nevertheless, I hope that you will find at least some helpful tips.
That same day we visited Oak Ray Handcrafted Wood Carvings. To be honest I was surprised to read so many negative reviews on TripAdvisor about this place. Some people even say something like: “don’t get out from the car if your driver takes you here!”.
In the next couple blog posts I will tell you about our mini adventure. After checking the travel guide and map of Sri Lanka, we’ve made a list of places we wished to visit. And then we started planning our three-day trip with our driver.
