Should I spend my vacation at home? If so, what would I do? Eat potatoes and sign every time I look at the grey depressing landscape through the window? Day after day… Or should I waste all the money I have left on a trip? A little getaway that my soul, mind and body are desperately craving for? I’ve visited twenty countries or so and have tried dozens of different dishes. There were many that I liked and few that I loved… but so far only one country managed to blow me away with its cuisine. So, I was more than happy to leave Southern Finland and spend Easter in Kaipola, Central Finland.
I think I haven’t mentioned it before… but during our stay in Sri Lanka we managed to stay in four (!) different hotels, and one of those was paid for the entire holiday. Yes, I know, it sounds silly, weird and impractical. But as they say, wisdom comes with the experience. And next time we come to Sri Lanka, we are going to plan our vacation and accommodation differently. But for now, I can share the valuable information with you about the places we stayed in.
