So far I’ve traveled to 20+ countries. I know that’s hardly a number comparing to the achievements of more experienced travelers and pros in travel blogging. What can I say, we all have to start from somewhere, right? Yes, I’ve seen only 10% of our beautiful world but let me assure you, it’s more than enough to start a list of my TOP favorite spots. And I would like to share them with you.
* I ranked only TOP-3, rest of the photos are placed in a random order.
- Inveraray, Scotland
It would be much easier to throw the banal “you will not understand, if you haven’t been to Scotland”. But I am well aware that we all are different, and not all will like the things that appeal to me. As for Scotland… let me just say, I didn’t believe in love at first sight till I came to this magnificent country. And Inveraray, a lovely town located in the Scottish Highlands is where I left my heart. I’ve said it dozens of times and I won’t ever get bored repeating same words over and over again. I’m in love with Scotland!
I still remember my reaction and emotions when I came upon this incredible landscape. It didn’t just stun me, it hypnotized me! It felt like the time has stopped. I even forgot how to breathe for few seconds. It was so peaceful. I could stay there for hours, looking at the dark calm waters of the lake and silently worshipping the Mother Nature.
- Mini Adam’s Peak (also known as Little Adam’s Peak), Ella, 98 Acres Resort & Spa
I am so grateful to our driver Suren for showing us this place. The view is breathtaking! I’ve never seen anything like it. Don’t get me wrong, I watched hundreds of different travel programs, but nothing will compare to the firsthand experience.
- Tenerife, Canary Islands
Tenerife is a unique island with the unique nature, and there are quite few places worth seeing. We rented a car, so we would be able to visit as many of them as possible. And funny thing is that two spots that really blew me away were not our final destinations. Both of them we saw on our way to the main sightseeings.
First photograph was made when we were driving to one of the most beautiful villages in Tenerife, Masca.
The light of sundown made it look like a postcard from a fairytale.
And this one was taken on our way to Teide National Park. Don’t know about you, but I have never seen the clouds that were floating beneath me while I was standing on the ground. It was an incredible experience!
Even though, Danube river view from the Fisherman’s Bastion is truly spectacular, I like this one more:
* it was made during our guided tour in Buda
Bela Crkva, Serbia
Villa d’Este, Tivoli, Italy
Park Güell, Barcelona, Spain
Blue Lagoon, Comino Island, Malta
I know that for some people it might not look like much but for me it is a very special place. It was here, in Blue Lagoon where I saw the unbelievable turquoise color water for the first time in my life. I might sound silly, but at that moment I felt like a little child who saw the Santa with his very own eyes.
Tallinn Old Town, Estonia
Nuuksio National Park, Espoo, Finland
* you might recognize it from my profile photo
Nuuksio is my absolute favorite park in Finland. We go hiking here every summer. And that spot is where we usually make a beer & snack break. We sit on top of the highest rock and enjoy the beautiful view and sounds of forest life. That’s what I call “unity with nature”.
Hope you enjoyed it!
